Crash On 101 Freeway Slows Rush-Hour Traffic To A Crawl
A crash on the 101 Freeway in the San Fernando Valley slowed traffic to a crawl on Monday morning.
CALABASAS, CA — A crash blocked two lanes of the 101 Freeway in Calabasas Monday morning, causing major rush-hour delays.
The crash occurred on the northbound side of the freeway at Las Virgenes at around 8 a.m., according to a Sigalert.
The two right lanes of the freeway remained closed at 9:45 a.m., when traffic was backed up about six miles to Tampa Avenue. Traffic on that stretch of the road was moving at about 5 mph, according to the California Highway Patrol, which warned motorists should expect delays of up to two hours.
