
Kids traditionally consider summer school a drag, but throughout the Southland, not getting enrolled in a class is proving to be an even bigger bummer.
Thanks to a bare bones budget of about $1 million, only 16 Los Angeles Unified High Schools are offering summer courses, the Daily News reports.
One of those campuses is Chatsworth High School, where hundreds of students and parents lined up in the early morning last week trying to get a spot in one of ten subjects.
More than 5,000 spots were reserved for youngsters who failed a class during the school year, according to the Daily News.
