The newest gas station owner in town will offer discount gasoline on the Fourth of July as a way of saying hello to the community.
From 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Thursday, regular unleaded gas at Viva Fuels, located at 20450 Lassen St., will be sold for $3.49 a gallon if paid for by cash and $3.69 if paid for by credit card.
Also, owner Levon Petrosyan said he would donate $3.49 from each sale to the Chatsworth Freedom Church.
"I'm not worried about losing money," he said, adding: "The purpose is to just thank the community for allowing us to be there and to give something back."
