Driver in Fatal Porter Ranch Crash Identified
The passenger was hospitalized with stable vital signs, police said.

The driver of a Mercedes-Benz who was killed when it struck a tree in Porter Ranch was identified Monday by the coroner's office as 25-year-old Amir Reza Movahed.
The single-car crash near 11311 Tampa Ave., near Rinaldi Street, took place about 1:50 a.m. Saturday, said Los Angeles police Sgt. Donald Kelly of the Valley Traffic Division.
A passenger was taken to a hospital, initially in critical condition. The passenger was hospitalized with stable vital signs, Kelly said.

Movahed lost control of the southbound car near Rinaldi, crossed the street and drove into a tree head-on, Kelly said. He died at the scene.
Movahed's hometown was not available.
