CHATSWORTH, CA — A 30-year-old man and his 10-year-old son were found dead in Chatsworth Tuesday evening, but the cause of death remains unknown, according to police.

Police responded to a call around 8:30 p.m. Tuesday at the 21000 block of Plummer Street, the Los Angeles Police Department said. The two were pronounced dead on the scene.

The incident was being investigated as a homicide, but police suspected the incident could be a murder-suicide, KTLA reported. Additional information on how the two died was not immediately available.

The father and son were found outside a vehicle after family members arrived at the scene and removed the bodies from the car, CBS Los Angeles reported.

No weapons were found at the scene, KTLA reported. Authorities did not believe the two people lived in Chatsworth, according to KTLA.
