Flooding Shuts Down 118 Freeway On-Ramp
California Highway Patrol is reporting at least 50 spinouts and crashes on freeways and roads in the central Los Angeles area.
LOS ANGELES, CA — Heavy rush hour downpours caused crashes and flooding on Los Angeles area freeways Thursday morning, including the Ronald Reagan (118) Freeway.
The westbound Balboa Boulevard on-ramp on the Ronald Reagan (118) Freeway was closed because of flooding.
It's one of several roadways impacted by flooding including a portion of the Santa Monica (10), which experienced a hard closure due to flooding in the eastbound lanes of Mcclure Tunnel.

Slippery conditions are causing cars to spin out on freeways in Los Angeles and resulting in road closures. California Highway Patrol is reporting at least 50 spinouts and crashes on freeways and roads in the central Los Angeles area.
Shortly before 7 a.m., the CHP issued a SigAlert for the 405/105 connector due to a spinout collision.

Roadway flooding has also been reported, including on the Long Beach (710) and Harbor (110) freeways.
