Four Men Pose as Police Officers, Rob Home in Reseda
A suspect knocked at the front door of the home and told the woman who answered they were police officers who needed to search it.

Four men posing as police officers made off with $20,000 worth of jewelry, cash and other items from a home invasion in Reseda tonight.
The robbery occurred around 8:15 p.m. in the 19400 block of Vanowen Street, between Tampa and Corbin avenues, Los Angeles Police Department Sgt. David Madof said.
A suspect knocked at the front door of the home and told the woman who answered they were police officers who needed to search it, Madof said.

A suspect had a police patch embroidered on his shirt, Madof said.
A suspect ordered the woman to wait in a rear bedroom, Madof said.

“She thought they were officers and she was doing what she was told,” Madof said.
The suspects took cash, jewelry and miscellaneous items including backpacks with a total estimated value of $20,000, Madof said.
The woman was not injured, Madof said.
The woman described one suspect as a man between 20 and 30 years old, Madof said.
