NORTHRIDGE, CA — Firefighters made quick work of a fire in a detached garage in Northridge Wednesday, and no injuries were reported. According to Los Angeles Fire Department spokeswoman Margaret Stewart, firefighters responded to the blaze in the 8600 block of North Keokuk Avenue near Comanche Avenue around 1:45 p.m. It took 30 firefighters about a half-hour to knock down the fire. The cause of the fire remained under investigation. No other structures were damaged. City News Service
