A woman was seriously injured in a fire in the garage of her Northridge home Tuesday and was taken to a hospital.Firefighters rescued a small dog in the fire at 9754 Rathburn Ave., which was in good condition, said Katherine Main of the Los Angeles Fire Department. A cat escaped without injury when firefighters arrived.The fire was reported at 6:13 p.m. and 23 firefighters were sent to the scene, Main said. Firefighters needed 28 minutes to extinguish the fire.--City News Service
