Garage At North Hills Home Catches Fire

The garage caught fire Monday afternoon in the back of a North Hills residential property.

NORTH HILLS, CA — It took 36 firefighters 12 minutes to extinguish a residential garage that caught fire Monday afternoon.

Firefighters responded to the home on Burnet Avenue, in a residential neighborhood southeast of Sepulveda Boulevard and Plummer Street, before 3 p.m., according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.

The garage in the rear of the single-family property was "fully involved" when firefighters arrived, the LAFD said.

Crews were able to extinguish the blaze and prevent the fire from spreading to the home.

No injuries were reported.
