Gunmen Rob Armored Truck at Granada Hills Ralphs Supermarket

According to the preliminary investigation, the suspect approached the armored truck guard and disarmed the victim, police said.

GRANADA HILLS, CA - A gunman robbed an armored truck Tuesday in Granada Hills, authorities said.

The crime was reported about 11 a.m. at a Ralphs supermarket at Chatsworth Street and Zelzah Avenue.

According to the preliminary investigation, the suspect approached the armored truck guard and disarmed the victim, the Los Angeles Police Department reported.

NBC4 reported that the crime involved a Brinks vehicle that had just pulled up in front of the store. The suspect made off with an undisclosed amount of money.

Los Angeles police and the FBI were involved in the investigation.
