UPDATE: Girl in Serious Condition After Near-Drowning Incident

UPDATE: 6:05 p.m. The infant, a 2-year-old-girl, has been taken to hospital by air ambulance and is listed as being in a serious condition.

An infant is alert and breathing after a near-drowning at 9301 N.Shirley Ave. in Chatsworth at 5:18 p.m., said Matt Spence of the Los Angeles Fire Department, according to the City News Service.

An air ambulance has been requested.
