The work will resume again Saturday night with full southbound 101 Freeway lane closures begining at 9 p.m. and continuing until 10 a.m. Sunday. The State Route 170 connector to southbound U.S. 101 will be reduced to two lanes again.

The closure will allow crews to safely construct urgent pavement repairs on southbound 101 Freeway between the 101/170 interchange and Vineland Avenue in the Studio City area, according to Caltrans.

Drivers will be required to detour from the southbound 101 Freeway to eastbound State Route 134, exit at the Vineland Avenue offramp, go east on Riverside Drive and south on Vineland Avenue to return to southbound 101 Freeway.

"Due to weather or operational reasons, the schedule is subject to change including the times and dates of closures, the number of lanes closed, detour routes and other details," Caltrans warned.

According to the National Weather Service, it is expected to rain Saturday evening.
