WOODLAND HILLS, CA — A man was struck and killed by a vehicle on the Ventura (101) Freeway, as the morning rush hour was getting underway Tuesday.
The fatal crash shut down multiple lanes of traffic in Woodland Hills for hours from about 6 a.m. to 10 a.m., according to the California Highway Patrol.
The crash occurred on the southbound side of the 101 Freeway near Winnetka Avenue at about 6 a.m.

Some lanes were blocked in both directions of the freeway while an investigation was conducted. All lanes were reopened shortly before 10 a.m., the CHP reported.
Information was not immediately available on the identity of the fatally injured man, who died at the scene.
