Matadome To Be Renamed 'Premier America Credit Union Arena'

NORTHRIDGE, CA — The Matadome, which houses California State University, Northridge's basketball and volleyball team, will be renamed "Premier America Credit Union Arena" as part of a 10 year deal between CSUN and Premier America Credit Union.

The deal, which the university announced on Wednesday, will put a credit union branch and ATM machines on campus, according to a news release from the university. The credit union will in turn sponsor games and campus events including performing arts and alumni events. The credit union will also host "financial wellness and literacy programming," according to the university.

The deal has an annual value of $660,000 which will increase annually by 5 percent after its first year, the LA Daily News reported.

The partnership will designate Premier America as the "Official Credit Union of CSUN" and the exclusive credit union partner of CSUN's athletics department and alumni network, according to a news release from the university.

“Premier America’s emphasis on people working together toward solutions and vested interest in collective success aligns well with CSUN’s approach toward the academic success of our students and their collective impact on our region, state and nation upon graduation,” CSUN President Erika D. Beck said in a news release. “I am delighted that we will be working together to further the success of our students and, in particular, our student-athletes.”
