They're Calling Chiefs' Matt Cassel a Hero

The Chatsworth High grad runs to the rescue.

Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Matt Cassel is a hero. The Chatsworth High graduate denies it, but there's a woman whose house was burning who disagrees.

When Cassel's wife noticed smoke and flames coming from a house in the Missouri gated community of Village of Loch Lloyd near their home, he ran to the rescue.

"I know Matt wouldn't want this kind of attention, but I definitely think he was a hero last night," one witness told KMBC-TV.

Cassel downplayed his actions, saying, "I just ran up to the house and alerted them. The real heroes are the firefighters," according to FoxSports.com.
