2: Head to the Northridge Fashion Center on Thursday for the latest installment of a free summer concert series. This week, the Walking Phoenixes will take the stage from 5-7 p.m. 9301 Tampa Ave.

Englander@lacity.org.4: Head to the Westfield Topanga Friday for a free outdoor screening of the 1980s classic, 16 Candles. Subway and Robeks will have food and drinks available for purchase along with other vendors who will offer treats, such as BBQ, ice cream, cotton candy and popcorn. Westfield Topanga will be laying down Astroturf and providing picnic tables and chairs, but guests are welcome to bring their own beach chairs and blankets. The screening will take place at the Owensmouth Garage of the Westfield Topanga Mall.
