Music Helps Northridge Seniors With Memory Illness

A senior care facility in Northridge is getting positive results from using music to aid sufferers of Alzheimer's Disease, according to CBS2.

Pacifica Senior Living is having some of its residents listen to tracks, selected by their family members, at least once a day.

"The music is usually the last part of the brain that, in layman’s terms, shuts down. So it allows the individual who has dementia or Alzheimer’s to revisit a really good time of their life,” Director Stacie Dawes told CBS2.
