Northridge Man Treats Newtown Residents to 100 Cups of Coffee
A 911 phone operator at CSUN's police department tries to do something nice for the grieving Connecticut community.

Tom Cavanaugh of Northridge bought 100 cups of coffee for the residents of Newtown, CT, a community shaken by a tragic shooting last Friday that claimed more than two dozen lives, CBS2 reports.
Twenty-year-old Adam Lanza fatally shot his mother, then killed 26 more people, mostly students and teachers, at Sandy Hook Elementary School.
In trying to do his part to aid the mourning, Cavanaugh, a 911 phone operator for Cal-State Northridge's police department, called the Newtown General Store and ordered 100 cups of Joe for customers, he told CBS2.
