CHATSWORTH, CA — A person went into cardiac arrest after a two-story multi-family residence caught fire, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.

Authorities responded to smoke coming from a residence at 10734 N Belmar Ave around 11:49 a.m., according to LAFD. One person was treated for cardiac arrest but their condition was unknown Monday afternoon, authorities said.

It was not immediately clear if there were additional injuries.
