
A former North Hills real estate agent was sentenced last week to five years in jail after being convicted of a Ponzi scheme that cost investors more than $2 million, the San Fernando Valley Business Journal reports.
Celia Gallardo, 42, pleaded guilty last fall to several counts of wire fraud. She was found guilty of taking money from new investors of her real estate program to pay current investors, the journal reports.
