Rockslide Closes Chatsworth Road

A rockslide closed a one-mile stretch of a road in Chatsworth Sunday.

CHATSWORTH, CA — Santa Susanna Pass Road remains completely blocked due to a rockslide that occurred Sunday.

The slide was reported on Santa Susanna Pass Road near Redmesa Road, south of the 118 Freeway and west of Topanga Canyon Boulevard, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.

A hard closure was set up on a one-mile stretch of the road, between Iverson Road and Redmesa Road, KTLA reported.

The slide is near the site of a wildfire that burned the area in November.

Officials have not indicated when the road might reopen.

KTLA aired aerial footage of the slide Monday morning showing two children, accompanied by an adult, playing on boulders in the middle of the road.
