Shooting Shuts Down 101 Freeway Lanes For Hours
The overnight shooting in the Woodland Hills area remains under investigation by the California Highway Patrol.

WOODLAND HILLS, CA — A person was shot on the Ventura (101) Freeway in Woodland Hills Monday and authorities are investigating the circumstances surrounding the shooting.
California Highway Patrol officers were called at 1:18 a.m. to the westbound freeway and Winnetka Avenue where they found the victim inside a vehicle, CHP Officer Sean Lough told City News Service.
"It looks like it could have been a self-inflicted wound," Lough said

The gender and age of the victim was not immediately known.
The CHP blocked three lanes of the freeway for several hours while officers investigated the shooting.
