There's a Political Family Feud Brewin'

Both Buck and Patricia McKeon are running to the angst of the competition.

You might call it a Family Feud. Or a political soap opera.

There's back-stabbing, repudiated loyalties, double-crossing, power-grabbing, and even a pause for a word from the supermarket about 10-cent paper bags.

And then there was that anonymous website.

Long-time Republican Congressman Howard P. "Buck" McKeon is running for the 25th Congressional District seat.

And his wife, Patricia, is running for the 38th State Assembly District seat of termed-out Cameron Smyth, to the dismay of Rep. McKeon's aide Scott Wilk.

Apparently, Wilk thought he had a clear shot at the job until the boss' wife stepped in.

The two districts overlap into Chatsworth.

Both Buck and Patricia McKeon stopped by last week's Porter Ranch Neighborhood Council meeting where they were introduced and guest speaker Mitch Englander, city councilman for the 12 District, immediately announced his endorsement of the congressman.
