Water Still Flows from Damaged Hydrant

Crash could be heard two blocks away.

Almost a full day after a car struck the fire hydrant at Topanga Canyon Boulevard and Devonshire Street, water was still spilling into the road.

The hydrant, outside the 7-Eleven store, was hit at about 7:30 p.m. Saturday, and the sound of the crash could be heard nearly two blocks away. Firefighters from Station 96 on Marilla Street responded.
