Youth Pastor From Granada Hills Pleads No Contest in Molestation

A 28-year-old Granada Hills man who was a youth pastor at a Venice church pleaded no contest Thursday to three counts of lewd acts on a child for having a year-long affair with a young girl who attended the church.

Demetrius Darnell Allen is due back in court Oct. 18 for sentencing.

According to prosecutors, Allen began a sexual relationship with a then-14-year-old member of First Baptist Church in March 2010. The affair continued until May of this year, according to the District Attorney's Office.
