$100k In Grants Given Out To Artists In This Bay Area County
Thirty artists and organizations received funding from the cultural association.
SAN RAFAEL, CA — The Marin Cultural Association announced the first recipients of its 2025 Arts Grants program, a new initiative designed to significantly support the arts across Marin County.
MCA has distributed a total of $100,000 to 30 artists and organizations. Funding was provided by the California Arts Council.
"We are delighted to support these talented individuals and groups who contribute to Marin's dynamic arts community. Their work not only enhances our community's artistic offerings but also fosters greater engagement and inclusivity across all regions of Marin County,” said Tracy Bays-Boothe, Marin Cultural Association managing director.

The MCA Arts Grants program aims to sustain and expand Marin’s art resources for all residents, cultivate Marin as an arts and cultural center, and ensure equitable representation and participation across diverse groups, artforms, and cultural expressions.
Marin County artists and studio collectives could receive grants up to $5,000 and nonprofits up to $10,000. The inaugural Arts Grants program received 170 applications totaling nearly $1.2 million. MCA will announce more funding later this year.
