Silliness abounds as Novato group practices for the city's biggest street party of the year, June 9-10.
Amy Wigton shared this funny video on Thursday, and it's a great reminder to make plans for the Novato Festival of Art, Wine & Music this weekend.
For the 29th consecutive year, Grant Avenue will will be transformed into a artists' haven, bustling bazaar, food court and "day club" (a nightclub under the sun) when the Novato Festival takes place June 9-10.

10-11:50 a.m.: NOVATO SONGBIRDS. Four female singer-songwriters from Novato perform: Lilan Kane, Natalie Smith, Keeley Valentino andLiv Gibson
12:10-1 p.m.: CHRIS TOWZEY. Novato native performs original rock and soul.
1:20-2:15 p.m.: VICTORIA GEORGE. Marin born and raised songwriter returns to the Novato stage.
2:35-3:40 p.m.: DANNY CLICK. Scorching guitar player/songwriter from Austin.
4–5:15 p.m.: CHUCK PROPHET & THE MISSION EXPRESS. San Francisco rocker and KFOG favorite performs songs from the new album “Temple Beautiful."
5:45-7 p.m.: LYDIA PENSE & COLD BLOOD. Rhythm and blues, funk and soul with driving horns led by powerful singer Lydia Pense

11:15 a.m.-12:10 p.m.– THE STRING RAYS: Fiddle, guitars and tight harmonies intertwine with Americana rock ‘n soul from Sonoma County.
12:30-1:20 p.m.: JAIME KYLE. Nashville singer-songwriter with Dave Jenkins and Steve Price (Pablo Cruise), Tal Morris (Huey Lewis & The News) and Taylor Cutcomb.
1:40-2:40 p.m.: KEVIN RUSSELL. Local scorching guitarist performs rock, R&B, soul and blues.
