The Festival of Spring is celebrated as Vasant Utsav in many parts of India. In this festival, boys and girls, men and women joyfully welcome spring, the season of hope not just with colors but with songs, dance, chanting of hymns in the serene ambiance of the community. Join the Marin Indian American Association at its annual gala Saturday from 4-11 p.m. at the Osher Marin Jewish Community Center in San Rafael.
The Marin Indian American Association is a nonprofit with no annual dues that provides a forum to explore the rich and diverse heritage of the Indian American community living in and around Marin County. The MIAA facilitates cultural events and educational programs pertaining to the Indian subcontinent, celebrate the diverse cultural heritage of the Indian subcontinent and shares this rich culture with the community we now call home, Marin County. MIAA will also strive to provide support services to members of the Indian American community in Marin.
