• Novato seeks artists to paint more utility boxes (pressdemocrat.com) — Novato is inviting artists of all ages to apply by Feb. 22 to paint seven more utility boxes around town, with up to $1,000 in materials reimbursed per project. Priority goes to Novato residents, and the city hopes to finish the “where stories grow” themed artworks by June, adding colorful public art along key streets like Redwood and Novato boulevards. 
• Businesses on the move in Sonoma, Marin, Mendocino and Lake counties: Dec. 26 report (pressdemocrat.com) — A recent commercial real estate roundup includes the sale of a 1,326-square-foot office/medical building at 852 Reichert Ave. in Novato for $769,000.
