Eric Shanks named Senior VP of Fireman's Fund for Personal Insurance Underwriting

recently announced the appointment of Eric Shanks to the position of senior vice president, personal insurance underwriting executive. 

In his new role, Shanks will provide strategic and operational direction for the personal insurance underwriting and product management team. The team is focused on underwriting and product management for the high net worth and affluent segment of personal insurance. Shanks will be based in Fireman’s Fund’s Chicago office. 

A 19-year veteran of the insurance industry, Shanks has experience in underwriting management and field leadership and led underwriting, loss control, distribution, and marketing initiatives. Most recently, Shanks served as senior vice president of the private client segment at Chartis Insurance. He also held leadership positions with Chubb Group of Insurance Companies and Safeco Insurance.

Shanks holds a bachelor’s degree in communications from Washington State University.
