Parent-teacher associations at Novato public schools are recruiting volunteers to coordinate men's and women's softball teams for School Fuel's annual softball tournament. Some teams are already practicing for the event, set for Sept. 17-21 (men) and Oct. 15-19 (women). The men's event will be at the College of Marin Indian Valley Campus fields and the women's event will be at Lynwood School. The championship games will be at Gary Gates Field at San Marin High School.
Parents, alumni and staff are highly encouraged to join the teams. Organizers are hoping to have a team from every school, including the high schools, so dust off those mitts and start practicing!
