Ben Lerchin of Novato recently received a Louis B. Perry Research Award from Whitman College in Walla Walla, Wash.
The Perry Grant, an award ranging from $2,500 to $3,000, gives undergradute students the opportunity to work with professors on a summer research project. Grants are awarded to student-professor teams in many academic fields.
Lerchin is collaborating with Assistant Professor of Art Justin Lincoln on a project titled "Nature as Code: Advanced Study in Generative Systems for Aesthetic Experimentation."
