Volunteers from Novato-based Winery Exchange, the only full-service private brand beverage alcohol company, recently partnered with the Marin Food Bank to pack holiday food boxes for people at risk of hunger in Marin County. The company packed up over 14,430 pounds of food, enough to feed 2,688 individuals this holiday season.
“We are always happy to give back to our local community’” said Winery Exchange CEO Peter Byck. “We wanted to do more than just provide a donation; we wanted to provide an opportunity for employees to volunteer locally.”
Winery Exchange is committed to giving back to the community and partnering with the Marin Food Bank is one of the many philanthropic ventures the company supports. In addition to volunteering their time with the Marin Food Bank the company also made a monetary contribution to the Food Bank for over $1200.
