
The new at is gaining a lot of attention, even from our local lawmakers.
On Tuesday, U.S. Congresswoman Lynn Woolsey, D-Petaluma, paid a short-notice visitand got a tour from Rick Tucker, executive director of and a teacher at Novato High.
Woolsey recorded a short video to be shown at the “Be the Dream” awards celebration on Jan. 11, to be hosted by the Marin Grassroots and the Equity Impact Committee.

The state-of-the-art studio was paid for by the California Technical Education fund, a competitive grant offered through the California Department of Education. Teachers were instrumental in the design of the facility, which includes a sound studio and editing suite. All rooms are connected by a central classroom in which a teacher can oversee student projects in filming, editing and producing.
