Bank Robbery Suspect's Description Doesn't Match June 1 Thief
Man swiped undisclosed amount of cash from downtown Novato Safeway on June 12.

Novato police have released a description of a man suspected of robbing the Wells Fargo Bank branch inside the Safeway store at the Novato Fair shopping center on Tuesday.
A white man approximately 35 years old approached a teller and turned over a note demanding money at about 6:32 p.m., Lt. Keith Heiden said. The man was given an undisclosed amount of cash and left the bank, and police came up empty on a search of the area.
The man, who did not display a weapon, was about 6-foot-1, 180 pounds and bald. He was wearing a black T-shirt and blue pants.

The description does not match that of ; that person was also about 35 years old but estimated at 5-6 or 5-7 in height.
Wells Fargo is offering a $5,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the June 1 robbery suspect, but no such award has been offered for the June 12 incident.

No surveillance photo of the June 12 suspect is being released at this time, Heiden said.
