Circular Saw Used in Quezada Market Burglary
Perpetrator worked around alarm system, store owner says.

in Novato was robbed sometime early Wednesday morning by someone who used a power saw to cut through a wall and into a safe, said.
After receiving a call at 6:13 a.m., investigators checked the store and found a spent blade of a powered circular saw used to cut through the rear wall of the building and into a manager's office, Sgt. Eric Riddell said. A 3-foot safe was then cut and an undetermined amount of cash was stolen, he said.
"The blade was still warm, so I think it happened within an hour of being called in," Riddell said.

Fernando Quezada, owner of the market, said significant damage was done and that he plans to upgrade his alarm system.
"They knew what they were going after," he said. "This has happened before, but they had never made it to the safe. This time they went around the security system."
