Deadline Nears For Novato Applicants Seeking Gov’t Roles

NOVATO, CA — The deadline is nearing for Novato residents seeking roles in city government.

Applicants for a vacancies on a half dozen committee, commission and board (CCB) vacancies must be submitted by Sept. 17 at 5 p.m.

The CCB members are appointed by the City Council and provide oversight to city operations.

Members of CCBs make recommendations to City Council and have the opportunity to be involved in upcoming projects and initiatives.

The vacancies are listed below:

• Bicycle/Pedestrian Advisory Committee– three regular seats
• Economic Development Advisory Commission – four regular seats
• Housing, Zoning & Building Codes Appeals Board – one regular seat and one alternate seat
• Novato Citizens Finance Advisory/Oversight Committee – three regular seats
• Novato Streetscape Committee – four regular seats, one of which is to fill a remaining term
• Street Improvement / Oversight Advisory Committee - one regular seat
