Driver Loses Control, Crashes Through Fence

Two women were uninjured when their sedan crashed through a chain-link fence on Binford Road in Novato on Thursday afternoon, a fire official said.

The driver lost control while driving northbound on Binford, near the Rush Creek Preserve trailhead and the park-and-ride lot next to Highway 101. Novato fire crews that had responded to a plane crash at nearby Gnoss Field stopped to check on the car's occupants, then turned over the scene to the California Highway Patrol.

The cause of the crash was unknown.
