Green Building Workshop March 3 at Fireman's Fund

The U.S. Green Building Council’s Redwood Empire Chapter presents two talks on “Working with the New Cal Green Code”, on Thursday, March 3 at Fireman’s Fund Insurance Co. in Novato.

Architect and green building educator Wally Geer will discuss changes in the residential building code in a morning session and cover the commercial building code changes in the afternoon session.

These workshops will give builders, architects, designers, planners and others an overview of the new statewide green building codes and
standards, including an understanding of the Tier 1 and 2 mandatory and voluntary measures. Time will also be given for questions and answers.

The morning session schedule is 10 a.m.-12:30 p.m.; the afternoon session runs 1-3:30 p.m.. Each workshop is $50 at the door; discount for Chapter members and early registration through February 18. A special Chapter membership promotion of $65 includes admission to the morning or afternoon Cal Green workshop and a one-year USGBC Chapter membership ($40 savings).
