The Novato Police Department will have a sexual assault identification workshop for teen girls and their parents Dec. 4.
The PD is partnering with Girls Expressing Themselves For Real to help eliminate myths surrounding sexual assault and reduce risks for girls. Participants will learn to recognize personal boundaries, identify types of sexual assault an learn self-defense tactics. Parents will learn about police response to calls and ongoing efforts to reduce sexual assaults in Novato.
