A year ago, Novato High received about $6,000 from a one-day fundraiser at Journey Ford Lincoln (previously called Novato Ford) at which the dealership donated money to the school for every person that came in to test drive a vehicle. It proved to be one of the top fundraisers of the year for the school.
This year, the event is set for April 3. For every test drive of a new Ford vehicle, Ford Motor Company will donate $20 to the NHS sport(s) of one's choice, and Journey Ford Lincoln will kick in another $5 to the NHS Sports Boosters General Fund. If we can bring in 300 drivers, it will mean $7,500 for Novato High athletics.
It only takes about 15-20 minutes of your time for a quick, no-pressure test drive. Tell your friends and neighbors, too, because anyone 18 or older with a valid driver’s license can drive to support NHS athletics.
