Hiker Rescued By Helicopter In Novato
The hiker experienced a medical emergency in a remote area, authorities said.

NOVATO, CA — A hiker experiencing a medical emergency was rescued by a helicopter Friday in a remote area of Novato, according to police.
The Sonoma County Sheriff’s Office helicopter was requested by the Novato Fire Department for the hiker, who was deep within the Indian Tree Open Space Preserve under dense cover.
An emergency medical technician used a 200-foot line to reach the hiker, who was extracted using a long line and flown to an ambulance.
