Marin Man Killed In Dirt Bike Crash: Report

LAKE COUNTY, CA — A Marin man was killed Sunday morning in a Lake County dirt bike crash, The Press Democrat reports.

The crash victim was identified by the Lake County Sheriff’s Coroner’s Office as 68-year-old Rex Brian Powell of San Rafael, according to the report.

Powell was riding with his son at the time of the crash, which occurred in an area designated for off-road vehicles, the report said.

After his son stopped to avoid debris on the trail, Powell, who was trailing him, hit his brakes and was ejected from his bike into some bushes, the report said.
