Mayor Moves Real Estate Office

The mayor has moved!

Oh, no, Novato Mayor Denise Athas has not moved away from Novato. It's her business that moved down Grant Avenue.

After eight years in an upstairs location at 820 Grant, Athas & Associates Realtors has moved to 1202 Grant, Suite A2.

Athas, who runs the business with her husband, George, said she has a few hundred more square feet at the new spot and no stairs; some of her company's older clients had a tough time with the second-floor office at the previous location.

"The layout is phenomenal," she said. "It was a general contractor's office before and it was done in our style. It's set up like a home. Our conference room is sort of like a dining room table. We're a boutique independent company, so that style fit us well."

Athas & Associates has been in operation 23 years. The agents are Athas and her husband, former mayor Mike Di Giorgio, Patrick Carroll and Michael Lane.

"The new office will allow for a few more recruits," she said.
