Typically, it takes 80 volunteers to run a safe and smooth event. Volunteers are assigned to duties such as traffic monitoring, barricade and trash can placement, temporary signage installation, barricade supervising, and post-parade cleanup.

This is an excellent opportunity for high school students to accumulate community service hours.

Service and community organization members can volunteer together to assist with the parade. A mandatory orientation meeting for volunteers will held on July 3 in the late afternoon.

To help, start by completing the electronic form on the parade website. Email questions to NovatoParadeVolunteer@gmail.com.

Registration is open for parade entries and for vintage convertible vehicles to be used to transport parade VIPs. More parade information is on the Novato parade's website.
