Novato To Hold Annual Downtown Summer Block Party

NOVATO, CA — After over a year under quarantine, Novato is ready to party.

The North Bay city later this week will hold its annual downtown summer dance party.

Rock the Block will be held Thursday from 6 to 9 p.m. on Grant Avenue between Reichert and Machin avenues, city officials said.

The band Pop Rocks will perform at the event.

Admission to the event is free.

Sherman Avenue between Grant Avenue and Cain Lane will close Sunday at 1 p.m. Cain Lane will remain open to through traffic.

Grant Avenue between Reichert and Machin will close at 4:30 p.m. and all streets will reopen at 10 p.m., city officials said.
