• Girls soccer: San Marin takes big first step with win over Archie Williams (marinij.com) — San Marin High’s girls soccer team opened MCAL play strong on their Novato home field, edging Archie Williams 1-0 on a late penalty kick by forward Gianna Grasso. The Mustangs’ stout defense and key saves from sophomore keeper Brooke Hohman helped secure the shutout, giving San Marin an early boost in their push to end a playoff drought.
   

• Motorist injured in rollover car crash on Highway 101 in Marin (ktvu.com) — A rollover crash on northbound Highway 101 near Novato briefly shut several lanes Saturday afternoon, leaving one motorist with minor head pain. The collision happened around Ignacio Boulevard, and CHP reopened all northbound lanes by about 3:15 p.m. No other injuries were reported, but drivers experienced temporary delays during the investigation and cleanup.
