Novato PD Investigates Donut Shop Robbery
Police are searching for two people who entered a donut shop on Monday afternoon, got into an altercation with a worker and stole cash.
NOVATO, CA — Novato detectives are investigating another robbery and looking for help identifying the culprits after two people ransacked a donut shop in broad daylight and fled with cash.
In a news release Wednesday, police said a community member flagged down officers around 3:45 p.m. Monday and pointed them toward Great Donuts at the Square Shopping Center. Police arrived to find the store "in disarray" and located a victim with minor injuries.
Witnesses told investigators that two people entered the shop, and one went behind the counter and got into a scuffle with one of the employees. The man stole money from the register and left the scene in a white Mercedes.
