NOVATO, CA — Novato detectives are sharing surveillance images in hopes that someone may recognize a man police believe robbed a bank on Friday afternoon. In a news release Tuesday, police said the man walked into a Chase Bank on Ignacio Boulevard at 2 p.m. on June 2, then handed a teller a note demanding cash.

The teller gave the man an undisclosed amount of money and he left the bank, walking west through the Pacheco Plaza Shopping Center. Police said no weapon was seen. Surveillance images showed a man wearing sunglasses and a bucket hat.

Community members who believe they recognize the suspect can file a tip through Nixle, call police at 415-897-4361, or send an e-mail to investigators. Police ask that tipsters reference case number "NP23-2056."
